

This training is intended for supervisors and managers, providing an overview of managing up and across strategies as foundational management practices to promote personal and organizational effectiveness. Topics covered in the training include relationship building, leadership styles, and communication skills. In addition, the role of emotional intelligence is explored as a key ingredient of a great leader.


The Summit Group, in partnership with the Vocational Rehabilitation Technical Assistance Center on Quality Management (VRTAC-QM), presented live trainings on the topics of Data Validation, Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) Tracking, and Case File Review Systems. Each session included representatives from Vocational Rehabilitation agencies across the country sharing best practices. These recordings are now available in the VRTAC-QM training portal as three separate trainings.

This policy guidance responds to questions VR agencies have asked regarding how to provide post-employment services to individuals with disabilities who have achieved employment outcomes and how to report these services on the Case Service Report (RSA-911), particularly because of the reporting requirements in Section 116 of the WIOA and its regulations.

VRTAC-QM, in partnership with RSA, brings you a training on the Credential Attainment Rate, arguably the most complicated of the six performance indicators in WIOA. This training covers the basic components of this performance indicator and reviews the reporting requirements and how to calculate credential attainment rate using data elements from the RSA-911 and how those are populated into the WIOA annual report. This training also covers the performance results from program years 2019 and 2020, the first two years of credential attainment rate data, and presents credential attainment rate scenarios. Finally, the training answers some specific questions from VR agencies to the QM.
